Marina’s Tale

February 6, 2011

After losing our beloved Cajun to liver disease, we adopted Marina, an Australian Cattle Dog mix.  The  rescue group that brought us together is no longer in service.

When she came into our lives, she was essentially a ferral dog. She was found roaming the streets without a collar, tag or microchip. Her owners were never found and she was scheduled to be euthanized at one of the shelters. Fortunately, the rescue group felt she could be socialized and eventually adopted and that’s were our adventures with her began.

I like to describe Marina’s personality as that of a wild horse that will never be broken, and I really like that about her, although at times it  made for a challenging relationship. By sharing those challenges, I hope to make your experience an easier one.
